Position Title: Administrator, Information Systems

Position Overview

The Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining and improving CMH's core infrastructure across servers, networks, storage, cloud services, identity, and endpoints. This role supports the full lifecycle of systems and network technologies, requiring strong troubleshooting skills and clear communication with vendors, departments, and users.

We do not expect expertise in every technology, but candidates should have hands on experience across several core areas.

Essential Experience

Experience in several of the following required:

  • Network infrastructure (Cisco, Palo Alto, SDWAN)


  • Server and network hardware installation


  • Virtualization (VMware)


  • Windows Server administration and OS patching


  • Cybersecurity best practices


  • Network monitoring (PRTG)


  • SQL Server management


  • Active Directory & Domain Controller management


  • Endpoint management (Jamf, SCCM, Windows, Mac)


  • Microsoft 365, Entra, and Azure administration


  • Backup management and disaster recovery


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform change control, troubleshooting, and rootcause problem resolution.


  • Provide Tier 2 support for users and operational systems.


  • Manage communication between stakeholders, vendors, business users, and other technical experts


  • Maintain and administer servers, networks, storage systems, and related software.


  • Install, configure, and test server, network, and endpoint hardware.


  • Monitor system and network performance and make recommendations for improvements.


  • Manage data backups, cloudbased and onpremise disaster recovery operations.


  • Maintain OS patching, and security controls.


  • Implement and support infrastructure upgrades, lifecycle refreshes, and new technologies.


  • Analyze system performance data to plan repairs, replacements, or configuration updates.


  • Support CMH sustainability initiatives and emergency response protocols.


  • Provide occasional support to field programs, guests, and remote users.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Postsecondary education in a related field.


  • 1-2 years of professional office experience


  • 3-5 years server, endpoint & cloud infrastructure support


  • 2+ years handson Cisco networking experience.


  • Experience with Palo Alto and/or VeloCloud; Juniper and telephony are assets.


  • Experience in the ski industry is an asset.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and strategic planning abilities are crucial. The candidate must be able to communicate clearly, effectively, and in a timely manner, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn other relevant software platforms are important, as is the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating seasonal workloads and changing priorities. The role requires a trustworthy, goal-oriented, respectful, and self-directed individual who can navigate complex responsibilities. Additionally, the candidate must have the confidence to interact with all levels of the company, including those in remote locations within a hub-and-spoke model.

Working Conditions

  • Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position up to 20 pounds on an occasional basis.


  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a constant basis.


  • This position is required, at times, to work on evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the needs of the business.


  • This position may require occasional travel to CMH areas, as well as some travel to industry functions on an occasional basis.
